SCART notes: To get the app to work you have to print and cut out these element cards. When you open the app your camera opens and you can place these element cards in the view of your camera to show an AR element animation on top of the cards. If you bring two cards together that can bond, the elements will bond on your screen. Once a compound has formed you can place the information card near the compound to see more information about the reaction. As this app is in beta (still being developed) there are only 5 elements so far and 4 different reactions (2 covalent, 1 ionic and 1 metallic bond reaction) can take place. As you can see from the video there are also many glitches in the app (elements randomly appearing etc.) but we are sure that as the app gets developed further these glitches can get fixed and more elements and reactions can be included. There are no user reviews on this app as Google doesn’t allow reviews on beta apps.

SCART recommendations: This app would be suitable to secondary school pupils who are learning about the different types of bonds.

SCART score: ⭐⭐⭐

The scope of content included on each element is detailed and laid out in a modern and aesthetically pleasing app. The app however has some flaws which make it more difficult to use than other periodic table apps such as 'Periodic' (which has been reviewed already - go check it out!) where the app can be used in landscape...
