SCART notes: The app has a large back catalogue of issues to read from. These issues can be downloaded individually on to your device for offline reading. Unlike some other magazine reader apps where the whole page is just scanned in, the Chemistry World app has each individual article as a new page of the app. This makes reading each article easy as there is no screen adjustment required to view the article properly. The app also has a scrapbook to save favourite articles or ones to read later, a share button and a search tool which allows you to search keywords throughout that entire issue.

Useful features of this app include the option to vary the size of text which makes the app highly accessible. Also when you close an issue and open it up again the issue opens on the article you were reading last time. Another useful feature is that once you have finished reading a particular issue you can archive the issue to delete the copy from you device freeing up space.

SCART recommendations: Overall this is a really good app that can be used on the go to catch up on the latest chemistry news. The content in the magazine is targeted towards all chemists from undergraduate level up. Its easy to use and read layout makes it perfect whether you just have a spare five minutes to read a couple of articles or want to read the whole magazine.

The scope of content included on each element is detailed and laid out in a modern and aesthetically pleasing app. The app however has some flaws which make it more difficult to use than other periodic table apps such as 'Periodic' (which has been reviewed already - go check it out!) where the app can be used in landscape and portrait mo

Once a compound has formed you can place the information card near the compound to see more information about the reaction. As this app is in beta (still being developed) ther
